One year later...

Ok- it has been more like one year and several month  since I've blogged about anything that I have cooked. Am back. The past year has been a wee bit hectic- buying a house, not buying a house, travelling, managing a failing organization, changing jobs, travelling for work, eating, gaining weight... all got in the way of blogging. I thought 2010 was a year to focus on myself. But honestly, I think a found plenty of excuses and escapes to avoid growing up.

I'v decided to regain a bit of my life. Running, studying, reading, concentrating on my priorities. And, since I have been cooking a lot more, I definitely want to capture some recipes

So....what have I cooked in the past year? These are the major events that I remember cooking for:
- Thanksgiving in Cabins 2010- it was a slight failure as the oven didn't heat up properly.
- Caroline's bridal brunch with Gwen Dec 2010
- New Years low country boil 2011!
- Birthday Goan Fest Feb 2011
- St Patty's Day Feast March 2011
- Engagement party April 2011
- Persian Dinner Spring 2011
- The Cake diaries Summer 2011
- Sameer + Alice Wedding cake September 2011
- Collaborations- Tapas May 2011
- Oracle weekend pizzas September 2011
-  Coconut Macaroons, Peach Tart, Sticky Toffee Pudding!! September 2011
- Brunch September 2011
- Fall Feast October 2011

ok...that is A LOT of recipes to remember and write down. And also need to figure out a cataloging system... and need to write down the bloody recipes AND have to find the pictures... ugh.

But I need to do this. Mom said that she regrets not writing down her recipes over the years and suggested that I start now so that I dont have the same regrets. Oh mom... wine will help me deal with the regret :) Just kidding!!

She also told me that writing down the recipes will help standardize them... secretly I think she just wants the recipes of the fruitcake- bah!

OK- will commit to writing/ typing... and eating!
